We Make Sure It's Done Right

With decades of experience, we know what you need throughout the installation process. We will contact you once the estimated delivery date of your new machine is known and will guide you through the process of preparing your facility for the machine arrival. Getting the most out of your new machine sometimes requires installation of custom workholding, toolholders, and a wide range of options and accessories. These customizations are completed in our technical centers before installation so that the machine delivered is exactly how you expected.

Your new machine is prepped and ready. Any customization is complete and the delivery date is confirmed. Your facility is prepared for the day and you are anxiously awaiting arrival of your new equipment. Our job is to make sure that delivery and installation go smoothly and according to plan!

Our customer service coordinator schedules a trained service technician to visit your facility on the day of delivery or immediately thereafter. Before any machine is powered up, our service technician inspects, levels, and cleans it. Coolant and accessories are added. Your new machine is turned on after all installation steps, including testing, are successfully completed.

We Hand Over the Controls

Operator training is included with every new Okuma machine. Our Application Engineering Department arranges the initial complimentary training session.  Are your needs more extensive? Our engineering team works with you to design and arrange a supplemental training program, if desired. Session length, topics to be addressed, and location are flexible. Will it be held machine side, at your facility? Is the size of your group and scope of training more conducive to a classroom setting with hands-on demos and training?  Our technical centers are ideally suited to large group programs.

We and many of our other machine tool brands provide optional applications engineering training upon request. Read more about Engineering.

Let's Maintain Uptime

Want to perform regular maintenance yourself? We can teach your operators or maintenance staff the basics and provide a full explanation of the needs of the different machines on your shop floor. We will share with you the knowledge needed to implement your own scheduled maintenance program!
